Professional Speaking

Hot Springs-20121114-00303(1)Many companies and organizations offer training to inspire teamwork and improve management skills. However, we can only effectively interact with others to the extent that we can understand and manage ourselves. That’s where I come in.

Helping people improve on a individual level–dealing with the personal tough stuff of negativity, limited thinking and self-awareness–lays a solid foundation for greater understanding and higher success with management and business training.

When one person stops engaging in negativity and drama,
the entire group dynamic must change to accommodate it.

Most people don’t even realize they’re being negative or behaving in self-defeating or energy-draining ways–it’s just their normal way of being. And if they do recognize the behavior, they certainly don’t understand why they do it or what to do about it. Giving common examples in a light and fun way and then showing how easy it is to shift things to the positive makes self-awareness, acceptance and change easier.

If you’re solid in who you are, why you want what you want—and why you do what you do—then you have a solid and empowered foundation to build a successful life and career. Implementing just a few of the tips and techniques I share can make a shift in dynamics individually and within the organization.

As the saying goes, “Once you know, you can’t un-know,” and if you pretend otherwise, your friends and colleagues who also were in the workshop will remind you.

One of my signature elements is Belief Monkey. We all have one and not many of us have any idea about what he’s up to. It’s a tangible, fun and effective way to talk about unconscious beliefs, how to figure out what they are and what to do about them when you do. It’s all about empowerment through conscious choice.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABest of all, we have fun–even when the topics hit really close to home with the tough stuff. I laugh at myself a lot and that makes it easier to look in the mirror and find that it isn’t nearly as scary as you thought. I use a lot of stories combined with practical tips and takeaway techniques that can be truly life changing.

As you can probably tell, I really love doing this! It’s my passion! I can’t tell you how great it feels when someone comes up to me at an event to tell me how my book or a workshop has changed their life. Some even quote my tips back to me! Many tell me how they have less drama and more peace in their lives–and better relationships.

As we each do our individual work and make ourselves better, we truly are changing the world. Thank you for doing your part!
